Novel Progress Report for 11/15/2009

Well that was a decent bit of 3,869 words. This chapter is getting massive. I need to think about chopping it up a bit. I think the smaller chapters might be too small. Oh well, here’s the novel total as of today:

Jonah and Frank are now travelling through the Golden Bridge and into Jonah’s hometown. Jonah is having to deal with the perspective he’s used to paint his memories of his previous life and how they might not be completely … accurate.

Nanowrimo word count is now at 42,517. I’m less than 7,500 words from clearing the monthly goal and we’re just at the halfway point of November. Feeling pretty good about that. I also realized that I increased my wordcount today by roughly 10%. Pretty cool. I should be over 50K within the next two or three days. Then it’s onward and upward.

I’m not as concerned about my overall word count as I was a few days ago. I’m finding that even the sections of the novel I’m not sure how to write are still demanding a high number of words to get done. That’s a good thing as it’s adding meat to the story. It’s not such a good thing as it’s just taking me longer to cover the same number of words as it was a week ago.

Well, until tomorrow.
